What Is Imposter Syndrome?
Definition: Imposter Syndrome or Imposter phenomenon is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their skills, talents, or accomplishments and has a persistent internalised fear of being exposed as a “fraud”
Every week I coach a community of 250 high-performing Business Owners, Coaches, Trainers and Consultants to help them to overcome the mental and emotional challenges faced in growing a business.
Imposter Syndrome is one of the most common challenges I hear people facing and can often sound like;
‘Do I really deserve this?…’
‘What makes me so special…?’
‘What if I get found out?…”
‘Why would people trust me?
‘Can I really do it or am I just lying to myself’
It’s often deeply rooted in the belief “I am enough, I am I worthy” and often comes from experiences in our childhood and then it conditioned through media and what we pay attention to in our lives.
